   We traveled from WI to ride the Ivy branch trails. The main road is narrow, one vehicle road and winding, just wasn’t something we were used. We came for the Hatfield trails, but the old mine was the true hidden gem. Easily accessible from the cabin with UTVs, we could have spent at least a week exploring that. Incredible views, and so much to look at! We’ve never seen a mine before, so it was fun piecing together the operation. There was also a ton of trails off the “main” mine roads, from rock climbing to mud these trails had it. The cabin was also a 1.5 hr trip to the Newest National park, New River Gorge. Plan a day to enjoy all the park offers. We also stopped in Fayetteville for lunch and shopped the downtown stores. Thanks for having us!

   The cabin was gorgeous and very peaceful and comfortable. We did have difficulty getting up the driveway. When it says, “Use a 4wd”, make sure you do!! After that got taken care of, it was such a nice place. Internet was pitiful! Peace was outstanding!

   Our stay at WV Mountain Cabin was Great. Christina was a Great Host. The communication was very easy and she was fast to respond. Our Driveway experience was a little unsettling because we were towing a 26 Ft gooseneck trailer. But we made it up, once we did it was worth it. The cabin was clean, cozy and the private setting was wonderful. Very pet friendly our 2 dogs enjoyed the walks on the property. Christina was so helpful. We came down to ride the Hatfield & McCoy trails. She supplied us with a map showing how to get to the Ivy Branch Trail Head, as well as many Outlaw trails along the same route without traileriing. The Ivy Branch trail head took longer to get to than we expected. But after 1 day of riding there we rode the Outlaw trails at Old Hobet Mine. Which were closer, and ended up enjoying that more than Ivy Branch. If you are a trail rider and you havn't been to Hobet Mine you need to go. It's worth the trip. And Christinas place is about 7 miles on back road to get there

   We’ve been coming to southern WV for 23 years. By far this is among the best places we have stayed in. Nice and quiet. Great access to miles of trails. Will definitely stay here again.
